About Us

Lynn Martens, Owner, HeyRed Communications

We Love What We Do

Lynn Martens is the owner of HeyRed. She began her love for communications back in high school where she was a member of a marketing club that competed at both state and national levels. Not quite ready for college, she headed to a well-known Colorado mountain community where at 21, she managed a staff of 13 at the Breckenridge Resort Chamber. The Chamber quickly promoted her to “Marketing Liaison,” bridging the gap between the town’s PR, marketing and sales departments. She held that position for six years before finally completing her degree in Technical Journalism with a concentration in public relations at Colorado State University.

During Lynn’s senior year of college she completed an extensive independent study through both the public relations and marketing departments, simultaneously. Little did she know, her inability to “pick a side” would be one of her greatest assets. The two modalities have never been more closely aligned.

For the past 20+ years, Lynn has been sharing that duel knowledge, working with businesses nationwide. Today, she sticks close to Colorado to take part in all of the outdoor activities that she enjoys. In her spare time, she’s a contributing writer for Western Art and Architecture Magazine. She also owned and published a magazine of her own in coordination with Toys R Us for “differently abled” children.

HeyRed’s Crew

We are your typical 21st Century workforce with many of us working remotely. Everything that happens at HeyRed is personally directed by Lynn Martens. She meets with each client to understand their successes, needs and challenges. She then works closely with other talented entrepreneurs who specialize in one area of the marketing process such as graphic design and website programming.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Firm for Contractors

So what’s with all the chicks on our website you ask? Well, we’re proud to be a female owned and operated business. This also makes us eligible for a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certificate. One of the largest segments of HeyRed is working on government projects. That means when you consider us for a government job, you’ll be one step closer to winning the bid.

In this day and age, getting recognition for your product or business means having a strong digital presence. Technology also helps us run HeyRed. Our team is closely tied through the digital universe.
