We Love What We Do

Our Small but Mighty Team

  • Lynn Martens

    OWNER

Lynn Martens is the owner of HeyRed. Her love for communications and marketing began early in her life where she competed at both state and national levels in a high school marketing club. Taking a gap year before college, or several, she moved to a well-known Colorado mountain community and quickly held a communications position at the Chamber of Commerce where she bridged the gap between the town’s public relations, marketing and sales departments. She enjoyed that position for a few years before putting herself through college and earning a degree in Technical Journalism with a concentration in public relations at Colorado State University.

During Lynn’s senior year of college, she completed an extensive independent study course through both the public relations and marketing departments, simultaneously. She’s brought that duality to her current communications business at HeyRed.

For a couple of decades now, Lynn has been working with local and national businesses, government agencies and non-profits with a strong emphasis on public relations management and strategic planning. Today, she sticks close to her home state of Colorado so in her spare time, she can take part in all of the outdoor activities at her backdoor. She’s also been a contributing writer for Western Art and Architecture Magazine as a fun creative outlet.

  • Hanna Martens

    ACCOUNT MANAGER

Hanna is a part of the growing HeyRed team as an Account Manager, making the business family run and operated. Though she didn’t get the fiery redhead gene to live up to HeyRed’s name, she does bring in her own expertise of digital advertising, media design and marketing to help support and expand the business. She attended Lewis and Clark College in Portland, Oregon, graduating in 2018 with a degree in Rhetoric and Media Studies. Throughout her studies, she was a part of the Lamda Pi Eta Honors Communication Society and emphasized media production and execution in her coursework.

Since graduating, Hanna has worked contract marketing communications and graphic design projects for a variety of businesses and non-profits. Through this work she has created brand-aware content, designed logos and informational graphics, built websites and managed social media marketing campaigns.

One of her professional endeavors led her to Missoula, Montana at a startup software and media services company where she ran complex digital ad campaigns for Honda, Toyota and Mazda. Though she loved big sky country, her Colorado roots were calling her back to her home-base of Durango, Colorado. When she’s not hard at work, you can most likely find her out touring in the San Juans or cruising the trails on her bike.

Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Firm

We’re proud to be a female owned and operated business. This also makes us eligible for a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certificate. One of the largest segments of HeyRed is working on government projects. That means when you consider us for a government job, you’ll be one step closer to winning the bid.
